The Department of Civil Engineering organised a Guest Lecture on “Impact of Urbanization on Groundwater Levels in Indian Cities” along with a student competition titled “Green Fashion Show and Waste to Wonder” on 10th October 2025.

The lecture highlighted the challenges of rapid urbanization, groundwater depletion, and the need for sustainable water management practices in Indian cities. The session provided valuable insights into rainwater harvesting, groundwater recharge, and the role of civil engineers in sustainable urban development.

The student competition encouraged creativity and environmental awareness, where participants showcased innovative designs and products made from recycled and waste materials. The event witnessed active participation from students and successfully promoted sustainability, innovation, and environmental responsibility.
