Established in 2000 by Dr. R. Vasanthakumar, an enterprising industrialist and renowned philanthropist, Karpagam College of Engineering (KCE) was founded with a vision to provide cutting-edge technical education and nurture proficient engineers equipped to meet the evolving needs of industry and society.
KCE is an Autonomous Institution affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, committed to academic excellence, innovation, research, and holistic student development. The institution is ISO 9001:2015 certified and accredited by NAAC with an ‘A+’ Grade. KCE has also been ranked in the 201–300 band among Engineering Institutions in India in the NIRF 2025 Rankings. The programmes in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
