It all started when Reto Meier known as the Android developer advocate for Google found out that the usage of the laptop will certainly evolve. From paper to computer and computer to pico projection and from pico projection to HD version will not stop us from predicting the future display.
One of the displays which were predicted years ago is now in existence known as the screenless display. The display which can be viewed in any environment such as places, desks, or even in the air is called a screenless display. It is believed that the screenless display puts back the technology of the touch screen. It is also considered the communication technology of the modern world.
Emerge of Screenless Displays
The reason why screenless displays emerged is due to the scarcity of space on screen-related displayed technology. It provides a wide opportunity for people promising a comfortable life.
There is a very unique methodology of viewing, for example, an image or video can be viewed on air or in open space through the Human retina or even through Visual Image displays such as Holographic displays and Heads up displays. The Screen less Display is categorized as:
- Visual Image Display
It comes under the types of screenless display, where an image or particle can be discerned with the assistance of the human eye. The light gets reflected by intervening objects even before it reaches the human eye.
- LCD or windows can be considered as the intermediate display.
- The urge of viewing a scientific problem that is not understood by people in the form of 3D is commonly known as Holographic display.
- Whereas, the transparent display on the windshield is termed a Head-up display.
- Retinal Display
Instead of using some intermediate object for light reflection to project the images, this display directly projects the image onto the retina. Using MEMS technology, these displays are available in the market.
- Synaptic Interface
The process of sending the image or particle straight to the human brain without the usage of any light is called a synaptic interface. The companies have already tested this technology on humans and have found quite promising results.
Isn’t it amazing that science and technology have evolved from a computer with big servers to a screenless display? All these enormous upgrades have been possible only by finding a solution to the problem of the existing system and by building up the why not questions in the technology field.
In the future, there might be a technology that we never dreamed of similar to the screenless display technology. It is in our hands to either make use of this new emerging technology in a good way or to misuse it.
Implementation Idea On Screenless Display
By the year 2025, the screenless display can be implemented in such a way that there need not be any Traffic Police or Signals, by the way of setting the screenless displays over the sky which shows the rules and directions to the people.
For that, analyzing the need is on various requirements and implementing tools for proposed work. We have to investigate various efficiency measures for analyzing the time complexity and space complexity, which will help them the cost-effective things.
Last but not least, screenless displays deliver visual information devoid of the use of screens or projectors. I like to express my thoughts about it and here is my most current research. I’m proud and appreciative that the top engineering college in Coimbatore has allowed me to pursue my degree there and has allowed me to work and share the newest technologies.
