About the Department

The Department of ETE was started in 2011, has qualified faculty members, well-equipped with state of the art equipment to explore the technological challenges in the area of DSP, VLSI, Devices, modelling MEMS, Communication systems, RF and Microwave Engineering, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers & Networking. The main objective of the department is to produce talented and zealous Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers to satisfy the industrial needs. The department has Centre of Excellence in VLSI and to bring young minds with exploring ideas.

The Department has a separate library which has more than 130 books and it also includes international journals, national journals, magazines, back volumes, project reports and CDs.

The department maintains an exclusive question bank in the library which comprises a collection of questions from various courses offered. The department has good record of placements in national, international and multinational companies.

Programme Educational Objectives

  • PEO1: Graduates will be able to synthesize mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals; laboratory and work-based experiences to formulate and solve problems related to the domain and shall develop proficiency in computer-based engineering and the use of computational tools.
  • PEO2: Graduates will engage in Lifelong learning so that they can get adapted in a world of frequently changing technology.
  • PEO3: Graduates will be prepared to communicate and work effectively on team-based multidisciplinary engineering projects and will practice the ethics of their profession consistent with a sense of social responsibility.

PO1: Engineering knowledge

Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

PO2: Problem analysis

Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3: Design/development of solutions

Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

  • PSO1: Comprehend and analyze specific engineering problems in the field of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering by applying the concepts of science, mathematics and engineering basics with Competency in using electronic Design Automation tools (both software and hardware) for the analysis and design of advanced electronic systems which culminates to link academics with research.
  • PSO2: Apply the contextual knowledge of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering to find solution to real time problems as an individual or a leader in a team to manage software projects pertaining to interdisciplinary environments to enhance life-long learning.
